In 1967 a group of spirited and resolute young men, fresh from university first decided among themselves that they would set up a college at Kampur. These youth divulged their plan to their friends, teachers (residing in the hostel of Kampur H.S. & M.P. School) who in turn, not only welcome their dream project but also pledged to finally stand by them. In the meantime a coaching class consisting of male teachers and female students was started from July, 1967. To the satisfaction of all concemed, the executive council of Gauhati University accorded the much needed permission to start P.U arts class from the session 1968-69.In fact with the permission obtained from the G.U. I am a proud student of Economics Department of Kampur College. I consider the teaching system in the economics department of our college to be an excellent educational institution. Because in our college, the teachers are teaching us exactly the way they should be teaching Our teachers teach the students in the classroom at a high level of teaching. Our teachers have been fulfilling their responsibilities to us so far in the way they should treat their children. That is why each of our teachers feels like a member of their own family. I will forever be indebted to our teachers for this. I will always remember my life as blessed to have studied with the teachers of this department.
I am a proud member of English department family as well as Kampur College. My honest opinion about my college is that it is one of the best institutions and I can't imagine a better place to go for my graduation. Studying in this college is exceptionally good as the faculty focuses on each and every corner of the topic. The teachers provide study materials and their lecturers help us understand better with the amazing methods they use while taking classes. I love the family like atmosphere that surrounds me. Our teachers freely interact with us and willingly clarify our doubts. I am so pleased and delighted to be a part of this department.
Our teacher has been providing us with highly informative lectures and also provided us studey materials. The department organizes educational tour to museums and art gallery for us to expose the ways in which the philosophical world view become an essential part of creative and cultural output. I had chosen to study Folklore because of my love for this subject. The department’s teacher provides proper guidance in academics as well as extracurricular activities. I want to express my deep gratitude to our madam for her dedication to make us understand every concept properly and providing all relevant study materials in a well-designed manner. I have learned many things from our department's well-experienced faculty members. Our teachers have been providing us with quality lectures and well-designed study materials for the theoretical part and also providing practical knowledge through field surveys & field trips. Our department is well-equipped with all survey-related instruments, sophisticated tracing room and GIS Lab facility. The departmental library is having syllabus related reference books which help us to save our time and concentrate more on our quality study. I am delighted to be a part of the Geography Department. Thanks to all our faculty members for their continuous effort to provide us with quality education.

In this context, I want to mention the name of Kampur College, the infrastructure and educational environment of the college is incomparable. The teaching staff and authority of the college tried their best level for the academic & holistic upliftment of the students. I am proud of this college, because it helped me to achieve the desired goal of my life.
I fondly recall that part of my life which I spent in the rapturous ambience of Kampur College. The teachers there are always receptive to the academic needs of the students and they are driven by an inner zeal to register positive changes in the society. Their spirited academic lectures coupled with lessons on moral and ethical codes of life have played a pivotal role in my growth as a human being.
